UI/UX
I’m the sole designer on this project working alongside the founder. I lead user research, mapped out the information architecture, and created user flows, wireframes and the design system.

Dynasty is an app designed to improve how large families communicate and preserve their family legacy for future generations.
The initial goal of this project was to create a prototype to present the concept to potential investors.
I conducted user interviews to explore how members of large families interact with each other and to better understand different family dynamics. We also wanted to validate some of the features we had in mind and uncover potential opportunities.
Although we conducted only six interviews, it was enough to reveal important pain points and helped me define our user personas.
Based on the user interviews and my own experience, I created six personas representing our main user types.
After identifying user needs, I listed the user stories that would help each persona achieve their goals, which allowed us to propose potential solutions.
As a user I want to be able to create an event and share it with relatives
Create events feature
As a user, I want to assign tasks to selected relatives to help me organize an event
Give tasks when creating events
As a user, I want to ask relatives for their opinions so I can plan an event that makes everyone happy
Create poll
As a user, I want to be notified when relatives confirm they can attend my event
Confirm invite function and update status to sender
Based on our initial ideas and the insights gathered from users, I created the app’s information architecture. The structure continued to evolve throughout the process and is still not fully finalized.

We went through multiple iterations of the onboarding flow to figure out how users would sign up and invite relatives from different families into the same ecosystem. We also had to define how users could interact with direct and extended relatives.

To speed up the process, I used the Material Design system, leveraging its existing component library and adapting it to the app's specific needs.

This is my first end-to-end project, and I faced many challenges from the beginning.
First, we had a very limited budget for user research, so we couldn’t interview as many users as we hoped within the timeframe.
Second, I enjoyed the “joyful chaos” of solving problems as they appeared, and I made sure my designs stayed flexible and easily editable as they evolved.
It has been challenging at times to piece everything together for such a large project. I’m looking forward to analyzing the results from the first usability tests and continuing to iterate.
